Tutoring for Children and Young People

AESS offers autism friendly tutoring to support subject learning. The main focus of one-to-one tutoring is communication, literacy and numeracy in the Broad General Education (Early Learning through to the end of Secondary 3) however, tutoring in other areas of the Broad General Education is available.

Areas of ‘special interest’ can be incorporated into learning activities when necessary and appropriate to help children and young people engage with tasks. Also, support for parents and young people to understand and make the best use of their preferred learning styles.

Each session will last for an hour and will be structured into short learning activities and brief periods of rest or reward time personalised for each child or young person.

Tutoring sessions can be delivered in your home or at a mutually convenient place of your choice. All learning materials can be provided.
